1. I run but have no legs. What am I?

💡 Fire grows bigger when you feed it fuel but dies when you pour water on it. This riddle describes fire using the language of a living creature to make it more puzzling and tricky.
7. I have teeth but cannot bite. What am I?
💡 A comb has teeth (the thin pointed parts) but cannot bite because it is just a grooming tool. Keys also have teeth but combs are the most common answer to this riddle.
8. What gets bigger the more you take away from it?
💡 A hole gets bigger the more you take away (dig out) from it! This riddle tricks you into thinking taking away makes things smaller, but a hole grows as more material is removed.
9. I have a head and a tail but no body. What am I?
💡 A coin has a head (one side) and a tail (the other side) but no body in between! This is why we say "heads or tails" when flipping a coin to make a decision.
10. I have cities but no houses. I have mountains but no trees. I have water but no fish. What am I?
💡 A map has names and symbols for cities, mountains, and water bodies but none of the actual physical things. Maps represent reality without containing the real things they show.
